Since 2016 non-profit organisation “Degu” has been working with young artists in the field of cultural and educational projects. Currently they are coordinating some international art projects funded by Lithuanian Ministry of Culture.
During a short lifetime of a company several cross-sector partnership activities have been established. Due to the cultural projects partnership with cultural centres, schools, artists and art organisations was created. The project for art therapy was implemented together with youth and social organisations, artists and psychologists.
The partners of the organisation “Degu” (Šaukėnai Cultural centre, Užventis Cultural centre and Šaukėnai centre of Traditional Crafts) have a strong network of traditional craft artists (fine and performance arts). Every year they organise educational weeks for traditional crafts, organise workshops for local community members and exhibitions of the best works.
